![]() Really though, general development advice, you might want to get one subsection working and put it out there for comment. An important part of all of this is ease-of-use, as I've tried programs before that have the functionality but buried behind so many clicks it is annoying to use. I get a lot out of Combat Manager's ability to add templates with a click and add standard effects for a set number of rounds (and remove them as a group) as well (even if it is a bit buggy and janky). As is the ability to select a group and have them roll saves/checks at the same time (adding their individual bonuses, naturally). A payed product that only makes characters and still screws up quite a bit of new stuff.Īs for GM features, initiative and HP tracking is basically mandatory. However, it is also a tremendous amount of work to integrate unless most information entry is done manually by users. I want this to be supplemental and to never replace the true feel of the game, but maybe remove a lot of the pen and paper, and quite a bit of the reading.Īn integrated character creator would be amazing. The line in the sand I have is where to end the app. NPC creation on the fly would function much like character creation but quicker (IE, bolster a stat, weapon/armor swaps). What DM features would you say you're sold? Things like initiative trackers and etc. There is more but those are the main sections I have mapped out. This will include all the traditional filters for browsing (challenge rating, HD, terrain, types, subtype, etc). Whatever I'm legally allowed to use will exist within the app. Spellbooks and spells also are maintained within the character's profile as well as inventory tracking, armor/weapons/magic item purchasing and even have those modify your skills/stats accordingly. If for example, you select human 1st level, my apps goal is to know you have 2 feats to choose from and an easy way to filter what you qualify for or a larger list to browse and plan ahead. The goal is to have it all adjust and add to your character on the fly. That's a huge amount of info.įirstly Creating characters (beginning to end) I'm aiming for everything from their Open Game License to be in this app. ![]() I want people to be able to get this app, regardless of skill and make a character quickly and efficiently. My goal is not short term profit but a large number of long term users. The goal of this app is to make it not only the largest pathfinder resource but to make it entirely FREE and have it look good. /r/3d6 - For character creation, advice and sharing (system agnostic)./r/Battlemaps - For your VTT battlemap requirements./r/Tabletop - For your general tabletop gaming shenanigans./r/lfg - Looking For Group, find other players, etc./r/RPG - For general, non-Pathfinder related RPG discussion./r/Starfinder_rpg - For dedicated discussion of Paizo's Science Fantasy system and setting./r/Pathfinder_Kingmaker - To discuss the Owlcat-made computer RPGs./r/Pathfinder2e - For dedicated Second Edition discussion./r/Pathfinder - For Pathfinder Society Organization/Discussion.Other subreddits you might be interested in: Fillable character sheets and intelligent character builders. Some of these tools and resources include the following: We have a Wiki page that includes links for various useful tools and resources, most of which have been provided by the members of this community.
